A child, Nidal Abu Rabee’ died in Gaza on Sunday after waiting for 14 months for Israelis to allow him to leave to get necessary medical treatment.

The family said they had all of the paperwork to get Nidal out of Gaza, and the care he desperately needed, but Israelis said no.

All Nidal’s family could do was make him comfortable while watching him die. This is not self-defense. This is not protecting Israelis. This is the murder of a child.

Nidal deserved better. Nidal deserved to live a life of dignity. Nidal deserved to be cared for. He was a child. An innocent child and Israelis killed him because he was born Palestinian. This is why it’s called genocide.

Nidal’s sister remains hospitalized at al‑Aqsa Hospital in Deir al‑Balah in central Gaza, awaiting approval to travel for urgent care.
